Four Former Flames Selected in 2016 MLB Draft -


T.J. Zeuch:  Toronto Blue Jays - 1st Round (21st pick) - In 2016 RHP Zeuch posted a 6-1 record in 10 starts.  T.J. led the Pitt Panther staff with a 3.10 ERA, allowing just 24 earned runs and 19 walks, while striking out 74 batters in 69.2 innings.  He was named 2nd team All-ACC.  In his career at Pitt, T.J. ranks seventh on the all-time strikeout list.  His career 8.68 strikeouts per nine innings mark stands at 15th in the Panther record books.

Blake Tiberi:  NY Mets - 3rd Round - In 2016 the left-handed swinging Tiberi hit .340 for the Louisville Cardinals.  His 10 home runs were second best on the squad.  Defensively Blake anchored 3b posting a .969 fielding percentage.  Blake was named 3rd team All-ACC.

Kyle Hart:  Boston Red Sox - 19th Round - LHP Hart posted a 10-4 record for Indiana University.  Leading the team with 98 innings pitched and 79 strikeouts while allowing only 15 walks.  A first team All-Big Ten selection, Kyle lead the Big Ten in wins.  Kyle's 31 career wins ranks 2nd all-time in IU history.  His 127 career strikeouts in Big Ten play also ranks 2nd in all-time IU history.

Phillip Diehl:  NY Yankees - 27th Round - LHP Diehl posted a 5-5 record in the 2016 season for Louisiana Tech with a 4.39 ERA while making 15 starts in 18 total appearances on the mound. The lefty led the LA Tech pitching staff with 90 strikeouts on the season, ranking third in Conference USA.
